I used my Volvo project as a base, this is just for testing.


I tested a steering system that locks the wheels on each side of the car with brake and handbrake to turn, like how you drive a tank (control tracks on each side, there's no steering wheel).
It works pretty nicely. Turns even better when you press accelerator and brake at the same time.
I was surprised to see even the AIs can drive with it! Very well actually D:    Maybe Invictus was planning vehicles with tracks as well, dunno.
This test vehicle has only 4 wheels but I think it would work as well with 8 wheels.
You could even have a turning cannon and tower (or what is that thing called) that moves when you turn the steering wheel, not depending on where the vehicle is actually turning.
Anyway, this could be fun way to steer my tank that i'm inevitably going to build at some point 
I had this figured out in theory some time ago, but I didn't imagine it would actually work this well

 I can't believe you are still finding new ways to mod this old game. Going to try this out later. Maybe get everyone on gamespy to have a go too. Roll on the Tank. Can't wait.
