It's a jump map called Brutal. Mostly small to medium sized jumps and doubles which can be cleared in anything faster than the Ute. 5mins laps are lots of fun Smiley

I would much rather have a number of given American companies make an insane2 tbh, they on the whole make games that simply work. Activison, Electronics Arts, Valve, Atari, Bungie, or even British Codemasters, and I would love to imagine even Google giving it a go. I'll give any of them Insane2 before a Russian programmer.
I even look down on Invictus, as 1nsane was about the only title of theirs that genuinely became a hit, being a fluke for them, their later titles were bug plagued and half baked, and they somehow managed to make the physics from 1nsane worse when they tried to "improve" it for the likes of street legal and later titles.

Agreed. And JJ I hope that 2X dvdroms means having at least a 2 speed reader (they all are these days of course)  and not that you need to have 2 seperate dvd drives fitted....   Wink

ps If this game does turn out to be any good, maybe I'll start caring about this site again. Who knows eh....

"Igromaniya.ru: What's new in your game - something to please fans of the first Insane?

"Igromaniya.ru: Original Insane was famous for its control and realistic physics. You expect this plan to repeat the success of the first part?

Targem Games: We are pleased that we managed to achieve both reliable and at the same time arcade behavior of different classes of vehicles. Dirt and ice clearly affect the administration, but do not interfere actively butting with their opponents and jump over the mountains.

"Igromaniya.ru: You're talking about a detailed system damage. Will the failure affect the driving characteristics?

Targem Games: from direct damage to the machine's behavior, we decided to give up - it seriously affects the dynamics of the game. hard to see much of the physics from the video :/   
I hope they are not like motorstom-ish or like most arcade handling (all weight of the car in front and rear end has no mass at all)

I see they have kept inifinite maps without borders, which is nice. =) 

Well, hopefully we'll get a demo to see how it works out :U

Hard to say what the physics will be like, in some places in the video they look bad in some they look ok... nothing like the original 1nsane though :/

I tested the demo too.

Handling and physics feel like someone pulling a toy car from a string, back wheels do nothing really and have absolutely no mass.
I dunno what is the point of making Motorstorm but less fun

It agree that insane 2 bad game. Bad game covered with the good name. Whether it is possible to find source codes insane 1? We want to collect a command of programmers for creation of good continuation.

Sorry I don't remember the original link, maybe it was on the developer Tangem Games' russian site.
Googling "insane 2 demo tangem games" finds some links, i dunno if they work.

Maybe we should ask Invictus if they're interested making Terep3 some day  8D
