sorry i dont understanding programming 1nsane.... but maybe someone is  Can someone make?? Before ya enter a room. Maybe make a small proggie wot checks the mapstatus/game of someone who wonna join? dunno if someone is capeble to make such proggie? Like if ya have a not legal game key...when ya use a illegal version> yeah yeah sumtimes i have good idears.....  |

The total random mod wont install... My IQ must be below 65 or somthing, I had insane installed under C:/Programfiles/codemasters/insane, uninstalled and re installed to C:/Codemasters/insane and it still said insane not installed when I try to run the file.... Any suggestions?

I don't know - does the installer check for the version number of game.exe? Does it work with unpatched games? Kaine? Mover...?  |

I Get that with the auto setup but I have not installed 1nsane
I just copied the 1nsane Game folder onto this PC .
The manual install works fine
so if you ask nicely Mover may put a manual setup link up to.

The installer looks in the registry for HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Codemasters\Insane" and then checks the "startpath" value. If the path doesn't exist then I assume you dont have insane installed.
The installer also checks the file version and reports if it isnt patched, but the mod will still be installed.
I didn't realise you could have the game without having it installed in the registry. I'll see if I can add a file requester to the installer so if it can't find the registry entry it askes where you would like it installled to.

Yea that would be quite neat, as it doesn't seem to find the registry file, for the Codemasters installer file from the internet, but works fine from the good ole' CD installation

lol... I could run this game straight from my backup CD on any computer if I had to, works fine as long as all the files are there like Game.exe and Data.idf. |
