I just did a second install so I could have 1 to work on vehicles and tracks and one for real use . I ran into the same ptoblem , only turns left . This was after I applied patch 2 .

I put it in again with no patches (1.0.0.0) and it worked fine . If that's what it takes ...I'll do without the patch .

BTW...Logitech Attack 3 is what I use .

Settng up the controller , I only got the option for "left" . If I hit the left arrow key , then it said "push right" .

I'm sticking with it . Still no "right" during setup...but it worked . Same thing on the wife's 'puter .

Same probleme here, depend on the pad. But with a dual analogic if I invert the left/right sticks for steering/throttle it work.

got the PS2 now as well so I plugged in the DS2 controller and I have problems described by others here- the wheels are turned left constantly and only posibble thing to do is streighten them. tried all the tricks described here and nothing

if I remember correctly someone here used DS2 to play so I hope it is possible cause I don't feel like using keyboard...

The first lines seem to hold the info for the steering and the info seems to be grouped in 32bit (4 hexadecimal pairs). Anyway on the line 0008 I changed the value 01 to 00:

well.... actual i have a problem to.
im running now vista 64. my goldie oldie microsoft sidewinder wheel is an old controller....
the os runs it and it work... but when im ingame my arrow-up key doesnt work anymore.
I had this problem in xp... but fixed it sumhow, and i think by a post inhere sumwhere.

i tried the old drivers but that isnt working...
who can give me answer to look or fix this baby...

My Logiteck attack 3 is fine with the profiler sdtup and running before I run insane but its a joystick & only a tenner.

So far ive seen how to install games using alcohol but daemon tools is a bit different. can you show us how to install usin deamon tools and what if you dont have xp. im using windows me. iie checked my reginal setting and see no japanese langueage just the country. where can i get the japanese lagnuage option installed for the regianl settings for windowsME?

I would have thought you could install the language for windows in the control panel, just for the record I dont think Microsoft suppor Windows ME anymore.
remember you can only have 1 controler plugged in for insane at a time

Sorry to revive old threads, as always but...

I've been playing 1nsane for ages now. Recently got a steering wheel. A logitech driving force gt. It works fine with other games, i made a profile for insane, but it doesnt work.

What i mean by this is that when i go into the game (with the wheel connected and profiler running) there is nothing showing me that the wheel is working. I cant even find the place in the game where i tell it that i want to use a steering wheel instead of the keyboard.

any thoughts?

I started checking the registry values for the controls. After some testing I found out that changing one value fixed my problem!

Thanks! I had the same turn left only problem with my saitek syborg. Another thing I wanted to do is to assign throttle to one of the triggers but I couldn't do it since triggers are also buttons which get mapped instead. Now I've done it and this is what my control1 value looks like:
